Account Manager – South Oxfordshire

Our client is a successful provider of IT solutions and they are currently looking for 2 to 3 Account Managers to join their team.

This role involves Business Development in order to develop and maintain business relationships in a B2B setting. You’ll be comfortable dealing with customers at all levels, promoting specific opportunities within the company’s product set with the goal of becoming the preferred source of supply whilst ensuring that margin targets are met. This role also covers the administrative elements of directing the external resource,

Duties:
• To meet or exceed required daily activity targets as directed by Sales Manager
• To meet or exceed daily telephone activity targets
• To broaden the product ranged within account set in accordance with goals set
• To maintain accurate records of account activity

Objectives:
• To maximise margin opportunities for the company. Developing strategic relationships with customers in your territory, qualifying and forming relationships between the customer
• To generate, qualify and follow up leads within the Act system, bringing such leads to a timely conclusion, following quotation check and approval processes. Too accurately process all orders whilst managing all pending orders within given time scales. Using ACT to keep accurate records of all contacts made with customers and prospects
• To work as a team with external resource, product management and sales management sharing information and maximising effectiveness within the account base
• To achieve or exceed set daily activity targets, phone time and achievement of daily margin target as set monthly
• To discuss new products, manage account or conduct portfolio reviews with dealer base
• To effectively time manage; plan your own activity as well as the external resource’s weekly activity, in a manner that compliments the specific and measurable objective
• To maintain a professional relationship with all suppliers and to ensure that suppliers are involved in all discussions as appropriate
• To report every month with the sales manager a weekly sales forecast, which is discussed with the rest of the team? Maintenance of forecast is managed within Act

Competencies:
• PC Literate, intermediate knowledge of MS Office
• Proven channel experience with demonstrable achievement to target
• Has met all other requirements of an Account Manager in current role
• Strong administration skills essential
